Mr. Daly has practiced with Rees Broome, PC since 1986, concentrating on all aspects of civil litigation in local, federal and state courts in Virginia.

 
 

Practice Focus

Practice focuses on civil litigation with significant experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in actions ranging from contract actions to declaratory judgments. Experience ranges from investigation of the case through trial and appeal. Other areas of practice include general civil litigation, contract negotiations, commercial leases, arbitration, and estate planning.

Representative Experience

General Civil Litigation

• Represents both plaintiffs and defendants in law and equity in civil litigation ranging from contract actions to declaratory judgments to injunctive relief
• Landlord-tenant disputes and business torts, including conspiracy, defamation, tortious interference with contract, breaches of confidentiality agreements and covenants not to compete
• Actions in personal injury, property damage, partition suits, confirmation of arbitration awards, inten tional infliction of emotional distress, domestication of judgments, constructive eviction and challenges to non-judicial foreclosures

Construction Litigation

• Represents community associations in claims against developers under statutory warranties and
contractual warranties for construction defects
• Represents both contractors and owners in construction-related disputes

Community Association Litigation

• Represents community associations in lawsuits involving easements, property rights, board authority and powers under Virginia law, bond actions
