Ms. O’Halloran-Cordray, a shareholder with Rees Broome, PC, initially joined the firm as a paralegal in the firm’s community association department.  After completing law school at George Mason University, Kim returned to the firm as an attorney.  She has been practicing in the firm’s community association department since 2000, where her practice is devoted to the representation of community associations in Maryland and Virginia.  Kim has extensive experience crafting governing documents, amendments to governing documents and rules for community and homeowners’ associations.  She also has significant experience defending community associations from civil and administrative claims brought by individual owners concerning unit repair, parking enforcement and fair housing issues.

Kim currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. Her efforts to support the local Chapter of the Community Associations Institute were recognized when Kim was awarded the Chapter Appreciation Award in 2007, the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2006 and the Rising Star Award in 2002.  Kim also lectures locally on behalf of the Community Associations Institute.

Ms. O’Halloran-Cordray is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Maryland State Bar and the Fairfax Bar Association.  On a more personal note, Kim is a life-long resident of Northern Virginia, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.  Kim also regularly volunteers on behalf of the Fairfax Bar Association’s Community Outreach Committee by providing free legal consultations to residents of local homeless shelters.
