Patrick Via, a graduate of Virginia Tech and George Mason University School of Law, joins Rees Broome, PC, as a Shareholder in our Community Association practice.  Pat has spent twenty years in Northern Virginia, specializing in all phases of commercial and residential real estate acquisitions, development and construction, with an emphasis in land use matters including planning, zoning and subdivision approvals.

Pat started as an associate with Hazel & Thomas, a top-rated land use law firm (now part of ReedSmith), and then spent five years with us at Rees Broome as an associate from 1993 to 1998.  While with us, he expanded his knowledge of real estate and land use law to include condominium and homeowner association issues.  With his broad background in commercial real estate, he was asked to join PACER International, a telecommunications company, as their Senior Vice President and General Counsel, responsible for site selection and acquisition, site development and construction.

Pat moved to Haight Tramonte in Vienna, Virginia, in 1999, as a partner specializing in commercial real estate acquisition, development and construction warranty issues.  In 2001, he opened his own firm in Vienna, Via & Hannah.  The firm was extensively involved in commercial real estate acquisition, development, construction issues and general corporate work for a variety of clients in Northern Virginia.  Pat honed his expertise in zoning and development projects which required extensive local, regional and state governmental agency approvals.
