Ursula represents community associations in Virginia and Maryland. She works with community associations to:

•  Amend governing documents, including Declarations, Bylaws and Architectural Guidelines
•  Collect delinquent assessments through liens, lawsuits, and foreclosure actions
•  Compel compliance with the association’s governing documents by filing lawsuits in Circuit Court and complaints with the Montgomery County Commission on Common Ownership Communities (CCOC)
•  Resolve neighbor to neighbor disputes
•  Negotiate million dollar contracts for capital improvements and renovations
•  Defend associations in lawsuits and CCOC complaints
•  Defend associations from Fair Housing Complaints

Ursula has been very successful in bringing delinquency rates under control for associations. In one case a condominium client avoided filing bankruptcy as a result of her successful collection efforts. For that client, and others, she negotiated a payment plan with the utility company to pay the overdue bills and avoid having the electricity shut off. Her aggressive approach to collection of assessments is appreciated by her association clients.
