Mariam represents a wide variety of individual and business clients in courts throughout Virginia.

As a litigation attorney, Mariam has worked with businesses, individuals, community associations, and state agencies to obtain successful results for her clients. She has represented officers and shareholders in corporate disputes, represented individuals in conspiracy and defamation claims, worked with creditors seeking to have debts paid, and litigated on behalf of numerous community association in courts in Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Mariam has:

• Successfully represented partners in declaratory judgment action seeking to have the court confirm that they are the managing partners of the partnership
• Successfully represented shareholder in dispute brought by other shareholder alleging intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation and tortious interference with contract. The prevailing shareholder collected the entirety of attorneys fees incurred in the litigation.

• Obtained dismissal of conspiracy, defamation and malicious prosecution action lodged against defendant for reporting alleged crimes to a military tribunal.
• Represented clients in probate, estate and conservatorship matters.
• Successfully represented community associations in private nuisance and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
• Obtained settlement of community association warranty claims against the developer, resulting in a substantial monetary settlement for the association.
